A pathway to healing

What is EMDR therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a mind/body psychotherapy technique designed to relieve psychological stress. It is a structured therapy process that is integrative. EMDR focuses on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation. This stimulation can be in the form of eye
movements or tapping. It is an exceptionally effective treatment for trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by reducing the intensity and emotion associated with the trauma.

In short,
During EMDR therapy sessions, you access triggering experiences in brief doses while the therapist directs your eye movements or tapping.
