YOGIC MOVEMENT PSYCHOTHERAPY
A pathway to Body & Mind
Imagine your own one - on - one yogic movement therapy experience integrating mindfulness, movement, therapy, meditation, breathing, and yoga poses with psychotherapeutic guidance and processing. Add music? Or silence. Visual Art? Amazing, right? Pause. Breathe.
SHIFT can happen in a moment's body/mind connection.
My individual yogic sessions are unique. Tailored to your specific needs physically, emotionally, and therapeutically. I interweave and blend an embodied session that works well with the interconnection of Mind/Body/Spirit to unlock the knots that bind.
You Craft Your Healing
Together, we complete an initial 75-minute intake to cover emotional and physical health history. We assess the body of work you would like to attend to, the goals you are looking to attain, and the modality you would like to have as your platform. Follow up sessions are 50-60 minutes and are composed of a beginning, middle, and end.
I witness and guide your process.
The number of sessions depends upon you. I usually suggest 4-6 sessions, however, you are in charge of your own healing process.
The process: an Alchemical Flow
Sessions begin with a "tune up, or warm up," with the objective of centering your energy through improvisational movement. From there, we "focus" on a psychological issue that needs attention and resolve...your "issue" if you will.
We allow the unconscious parts of the body/mind to become a vehicle in the development of self awakening.
And lastly, we find closure.
Is this for me? YES!
Any growing edge can be addressed in these sessions.
I can also accommodate physical limitations including chronic pain, sensitivities, limited range of motion, etc. You can work in movement across the floor, on a mat, in a chair, or in stillness. Or any combination.
